Hearing and other Assessments
For children under 3 years of age we can offer middle ear checks if glue ear is suspected.
For anyone over the age of 3 years we can carry out pure tone testing, speech testing in quiet and noise, immittance and otoacoustic emissions. We also have video otoscopy available so that you can see inside your own ear canal.
The clinical staff members have especial skill in helping those with dual hearing and visual, or cognition issues including dementia or special needs.
All clinicians volunteer with the Healthy Hearing screening programme offered via Special Olympics NZ and our facilities have been used for a screening event recently.
Jeanine has completed the London training course in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).
