Our people
At Hearing Excellence, you'll receive a friendly, personal and professional service.
The first people you'll probably meet or speak to on the phone are our reception and administration staff - Geeth, Nancy, Hannah (on maternity leave), Riley and Nicola.
They'll be happy to give you advice or help with any aspect of our service, or arrange an appointment with one of our qualified Clinicians.
THE HEARING EXCELLENCE CLINICAL TEAM
We now have seven part-time Audiology team members in clinic.
Stalwarts are clinic Director and majority shareholder, Dr Jeanine Doherty, and Audiometrist Sandra Knight. Sandra is now also a shareholder in the business.
Ruth Hope joined us in 2017 after working in the Audiology department at Christchurch Hospital.
Ashleigh Donald was a summer placement student here and then joined us as a new graduate before heading off to the UK on her OE in 2017. She came back to us in December 2019 and splits her time between Hearing Excellence and the Childrens’ Hearing Aid Service at the University. Ashleigh is on maternity leave.
Aynsley Hickson was also a summer placement student here and has now joined us as a graduate from July 2020.
Claire Spence joined us in 2025. She has worked in adult and paediatric services after graduating from the University of Auckland. Claire also spent some time working in the UK.
Nicola Duffy will be joining us in 2026 as a clinician. Many have met her already on Thursday reception duties.
